Oh, don't look so grumpy, Coco. I'm sure Nylon's secret formulas will only be used in the direst of situations:
A) Sometimes a girl can't wait for the latest runway shades to hit the shelves OR B) Dead broke! (and saving for that pricey Chanel bag anyway).
Here are five recipes for five different Chanel shades, courtesy of Nylon. The first two have already hit the shelves, and the last three will be available in stores soon.
1. Particulière
Published last October, Nylon's recipe for Particulière, a fall 2010 color:
Main color: Daniella's Curve (#413) from Brucci
Add: Explosive Meteorite (#429) from Brucci
Mix a drop of: Chinatown (#210b) from N.Y.C. Color
Add: French White (#449c) from Wet 'n Wild.
2. Nouvelle Vague
Released this summer, Chanel's Nouvelle Vague is a bright, turquoise must-have. Nylon's recipe:
RECIPE: "Mix six parts of an opaque white polish, with three parts of Sally Hansen's Insta-Dri in "Brisk Blue," and one part of a forest green polish (CND's 'Green Scene' works great)."
3. Khaki Rose
Set to launch tonight(!) at New York's Fashion's Night Out, get ahead of the game with Nylon's recipe for Khaki Rose:
Main color: Use Sally Hansen's Hard as Nails in "Chocolate"
Add: Brucci Nail Hardener in "Crème De Cocoa"
And a drop of: American Apparel's "Summer Peach"
4. Khaki Vert
Set to launch tonight(!) at New York's Fashion's Night Out, get ahead of the game with Nylon's recipe for Khaki Vert:
Main color: American Apparel's "Summer Peach"
Add: Brucci Nail Hardener in "Crème De Cocoa"
And a drop of: Any bright green
5. Khaki Brun
